An electrifying middleweight matchup is set for UFC 273. Dricus Du Plessis is all set to collide against Chris Curtis on April 9 later this year.
MMA Fighting confirmed this news with several sources. Chris Curtis is on a winning streak and has earned two back-to-back short notice victories against opponents like Brenden Allen and Phil Hawes.
The interesting thing is that Chris Curtis was the underdog in both these bouts. Despite that, he managed to get impressive knockout victories.
On the other hand, Du Plessis is on a four-fight winning streak and is coming off a victory against Trevin Giles. Before him, he defeated Markus Perez, Brendan Lesar, and Joilton Lutterbach.
Both these fighters had an impressive run and now it will be interesting which one among them will come out victorious on April 9.
UFC 273 is set to be headlined by two much-awaited title bouts. The first one is Alexander Volkanovski vs Chan Sung Jung Featherweight title bout, whereas the second one is Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan Bantamweight championship match.
