For both women, this will be the second bout in 2023. They were both in action in March where they won their respective bouts. Ribas holds #9 position in the rankings currently while Barber is at #10 now.

Her bout against Tracy Cortez was scrapped in December last year after Cortez pulled out due to some medical issues. Ribas then defeated Viviane Araújo at UFC 285 via unanimous decision.

The bout between Ribas and Barber is just the second bout reported for UFC Jacksonville event after another flyweight encounter between Tatsuro Taira and Kleydson Rodrigues. Keep tuned in for more news and updates from UFC.
