The Shigeoka brother will be in action on the same night – April 16.
Kameda Promotions announced that Panya Pradabsri would defend his WBC minimumweight title against Yudai Shigeoka in the main event whereas Ginjiro Shigeoka will collide against Rene Mark for the interim IBF title.
Panya Pradabsri is 39-1 in his 40 fights. He hasn’t lost a match since October 2017. His solo career loss came against Xiong Chaozhong. He defeated Wanheng Menayothin in Nov 2020 to win the WBC mini-flyweight title. Pradabsri is coming off a unanimous decision win against Norihito Tanaka.
On the other hand, Yudai Shigeoka started his pro career in 2021. He won all of his six fights so far. Shigeoka is coming off a third-round TKO victory against Tatsuro Nakashima.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Yudai Shigeoka can do the unthinkable and actually defeats Panya Pradabsri to become the new WBC mini-flyweight champion.
