Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia is one of the super fights that fans have been clamouring to see. Garcia started pursuing this fight after he knocked out Javier Fortuna in Golden Boy Boxing & Dazn headliner in July. Davis also once tweeted about a done deal, but later deleted that tweet. However, negotiations on a deal regarding distribution rights in the United States took several weeks.
Davis’ last 11 fights have aired on either Showtime PPV or Showtime network. He currently remains a free agent after leaving Mayweather Promotions after his last fight against Rolly Romero in May this year. Garcia is currently signed with Golden Boy Boxing and his last 7 fights have aired on Dazn streaming platform.
At last, it was decided that Showtime will handle the broadcast and production of the event. The PPV event will also be available to purchase via Dazn in US. The details on International distribution are not clear at this point, but we can expect Dazn to stream the event in other countries.

He has defended the lightweight title twice 3 times successfully against Leo Santa Cruz, Issac Cruz and Rolando Romero.
