Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr

Errol Spence Jr. is expected to face Terence Crawford next in a fight for Undisputed Welterweight Championship. The pair spent the better part of last year negotiating for the fight but it did not come to fruition. When his demands were not met, Crawford instead signed for a fight against David Avesanyan and beat him convincingly to retain his WBO Welterweight Championship.

Keith Thurman was named WBC mandatory title challenger to face Spence at 60th annual convention of WBC in December. However, Spence also got involved in a car accident in late December and sustained some minor injuries. This delayed the discussions for a fight against Thurman.

However, reports suddenly emerged that the talks between Spence and Crawford started again. The Ring Magazine reported that a deal is being finalized for the fight to take place this year in Las Vegas. An announcement was expected to be made during Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia fight on April 22. However, some details were not finalized in time for the announcement.

As per reports, Errol Spence Jr’s next fight against Terence Crawford is expected to take place on July 29, 2023. The location is mentioned to be T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Errol Spence Jr. remains undefeated in 28 bouts with 22 knockouts, 5 unanimous decisions and 1 split decision. He holds wins over several former World Champions like Chris Algieri, Kell Brook, Lamont Peterson, Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter, Danny García and Yordenis Ugás.

After winning the IBF Welterweight title from Kell Brook, he defeated Shawn Porter to add WBC title. He later defeated Yordenis Ugas to add WBA(Super) title to his collection.
