WWE Title Match Planned Before Survivor Series

Randy Orton WWE champion

Randy Orton may have to defend the WWE Championship for the first time even before Survivor Series as per the latest rumors.

Orton won his 14th World title at Hell in a Cell 2020 on Sunday. This was the third meeting between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton but it did not seem like it will be the last. McIntyre continued his feud with Orton on RAW last night.

The Fiend Bray Wyatt also made his presence felt during the main event segment but did not get involved in the action. Earlier, in Firefly Fun House, Wyatt talked about Orton & how he burned down Wyatt Compound during their rivalry in 2017.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that fans will likely see a WWE title match on RAW before Survivor Series. And it could be a triple threat match between Orton, McIntyre and The Fiend.

Even if the title match takes place, it is very unlikely that Orton would lose the title. Randy Orton, as current WWE Champion, will have to face WWE Universal Roman Reigns at Survivor Series 2020. If the title changes hand to McIntyre or Fiend, WWE might not want either of them or Roman to lose a match.
