WWE has announced 2 more matches for Smackdown May 12, 2023 episode with Cameron Grimes’ debut, and women’s tag team title match.
Paul Heyman already announced earlier on RAW that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be appearing on May 12 SmackDown episode. This was confirmed by WWE. This will be Roman’s first WWE appearance since RAW after WrestleMania episode last month.
Cameron Grimes will make his in-ring debut on SmackDown next week. He was backstage with Adam Pearce this week after getting drafted to the blue brand in Draft 2023. Baron Corbin mocked him for being the last pick in Draft. Grimes retorted by saying that it is better than not being picked at all like Corbin. Corbin felt insulted and asked Pearce to book him against Grimes next week.
Damage CTRL’s Bayley and Dakota Kai will get a shot at Women’s Tag Team Championship on May 5 SmackDown. They defeated the champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on RAW earlier this week to earn the title shot. Liv and Raquel came out to save Bianca Belair from an attack from Damage CTRL trio. The tag title match was later announced by the commentary team.
Matches for World Heavyweight Title Tournament were already on the card. Two triple threat matches will take place on SmackDown next week with the winners facing off in the main event later in the night. The winner of that match will face the winner coming out of RAW from the same process at Night of Champions 2023.
