The Elites Returning at AEW Full Gear 2022 to Face Death Triangle
The Elites’ return to AEW is made official now as they are announced to face AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle at AEW Full Gear 2022 PPV.
The teases for The Elites, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson, returning to AEW started three weeks back with video packages where they were shown being removed from important moments in AEW including the moment when they became the first AEW Trios Champions at All Out this year.
This week on AEW Dynamite, PAC of AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle took the mic and said they are not fools to realize what is coming. Referring to The Elites, PAC said if someone want to make a triumphant return at Full Gear, they are wrong and they should stop playing games. A graphic for Death Triangle’s match at Full Gear then splashed on the screen where The Elites were revealed to be their opponents.
The Elites are not seen in AEW since the backstage brawl after AEW All Out PPV which stemmed from CM Punk’s comment in the media scrum. The Elites were suspended from AEW along with CM Punk and several other wrestlers and staff members involved in the brawl. The Elites and CM Punk were stripped of Trios Championship and World Championship respectively.
