Brandi Rhodes announced on the Road to All Out episode 4 that a Women’s Battle Royal will take place at the Buy-In Pre-show of AEW All Out 2019 show. The winner of the Battle Royal will be one of the contenders for first AEW Women’s Championship match. Brandi, Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki and Allie are going to be part of the Battle Royal. But as AEW does not have 21 Women in their roster, they are making additions.

First of those additions is the wrestling royalty Teal Piper who is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. In the video, Teal talked about his father, how so many people wanted to kill him for his heel act, and how her passion for pro-wrestling ignited as she got older.

Growing up with wrestling in my family, it’s actually kind of a strange dynamic. I grew up with a dad people hated and literally tried to kill on multiple occasions. He kept us very protected and away from it, he was afraid fans would lash out at us to get to him. It was almost this stigma in our household where my dad had a huge love for it, but he was just terrified of me ever getting involved. It was something that, I guess my love for it really grew more in my adult years as I got more respect for performers in general, let alone the amount of athleticism it takes. To me it just felt wasteful to take everything I grew up with, everything he taught me and all my own personal drives and experiences and not do what I wanted to do.

Also revealed for the Battle Royal was former Lucha Underground Wrestler Ivelisse. She has also worked with FCW, NXT(Sofia Cortez in NXT) and TNA(as Ivelisse Velez) previously apart from various independent promotions.

Also joining them is the former WWE and NWA Women’s Champion Jazz, who now have a shaved head and is looking far more menacing in a grand mask.
