Tag Title, Bryan vs Nese & More Added to AEW Dynamite January 4
AEW has added several matches and segments to January 4, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite.
First, The Acclaimed(Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal.
Lethal and Jarrett are after the tag team titles after Full Gear PPV. On December 23rd’s Rampage, Lethal and Jarrett defeated Bowens and Billy Gunn in a tag team match which in turn made them eligible for a title shot.
The Acclaimed then made fun of Jarrett and Lethal in a rap video they released this Wednesday at Dynamite. The challengers responded with an angry promo on Rampage last night where the title match was confirmed.
Bryan Danielson and Tony Nese will compete in a singles match. Bryan has been in a feud against MJF. MJF has now set up his match against Nese next week on Dynamite. MJF himself will be making an appearance on the show due to a contractual obligation.
TBS Women’s Champion Jade Cargill will team up with Red Velvet as she takes on Skye Blue and former Baddies member Keira Hogan. Velvet has shown her displeasure towards Cargill since her return from the injury this month. She also stopped Cargill from taking a cheap shot at Keira Hogan during this week’s Rampage. Will the animosity increase during this tag team match?
We will also get an update from Adam Page on his medical condition while a match between Swerve Strickland and AR Fox will also be on the card. Samoa Joe vs Darby Allin TNT title match and Chris Jericho vs Ricky Starks match are already announced for the show. The complete line-up is as below:
