WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns won’t be able to compete at WWE Day 1 PPV event as he was tested positive for Covid-19 earlier today.

Roman Reigns himself confirmed this news by posting a tweet where he also stated that he looks forward to returning to the action as soon as possible.

However, Roman Reign’s absence won’t stop Brock Lesnar from competing as the Beast Incarnate is now a part of a WWE Championship bout which has become a Fatal-5 match.

Initially, it was supposed to be a Fatal-4-way match with Big E, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and Kevin Owens as the competitors. But now, Brock Lesnar will also be competing for this very title as he specifically asked for it.

WWE Day 1 was supposed to build up another match between Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman in an angle for WrestleMania 38. As of now, there are no updates on how WWE will rebuild this angle.

COVID-19 cases sprung up in WWE once again as several wrestlers tested positive after last weekend. Roman Reigns’ former Sheild teammate Seth Rollins also tested positive for the virus last weekend and missed RAW. Although, he has recovered to join WWE Day 1.
