Rosa had discussions with some individuals at the Starrcast event over the past weekend, and sources from within AEW have suggested that she is prepared to make her return to in-ring action.
Earlier, Rosa told her health status in her YouTube blog that She will be fighting in a five-minute mini-match on August 12. If this match goes smoothly, it might open the door for her to be cleared for full in-ring action in the near future.
Thunder Rosa’s last match took place on AEW Dark: Elevation in August 2022, where she teamed up with Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm to defeat Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir, and Nyla Rose in a six-woman tag team bout.
At that time, she held the AEW Women’s Championship but had to forfeit it on the August 24 episode of AEW Dynamite due to a back injury. Thunder Rosa was also part of the Spanish commentary team when she was in her recovery process.
