NJPW kicked off 2023 with Wrestle Kingdom 17 at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, on January 4, and we are live with results and updates from the show.

The event featured a double main event. Kazuchika Okada faced Jay White in the main event for IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. AEW’s Kenny Omega challenged Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States title. Omega was the first-ever IWGP US Champion before he left NJPW in 2019. Ospreay has been one of the top stars in the last few years in NJPW.

Wrestle Kingdom 17 at Tokyo Dome also feature a memorial match for Antonio Inoki on the pre-show featuring many NJPW veterans. Keiji Mutoh featured in his last NJPW match on the main card alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi. Former WWE Star Sasha Banks(Mercedes Vernado) made her first appearance outside WWE as she challenged IWGP Women’s Championship match for a future match.

WWE’s Karl Anderson featured as he defended the NEVER Openweight Championship against Tama Tonga. A new champion was crowned as Ren Narita faced Zack Sabre Jr. for NJPW TV Championship. AEW’s FTR defended IWGP Tag Team titles against World Tag League 2022 winner Bishamon.

Ryohei Oiwa vs Boltin Oleg – 3 Minutes Exhibition Match(Pre-Show)

Oleg gets the first takedown. Oiwa goes for the leg but Oleg picks his leg instead. Quick throws from Oleg at the first-minute mark. They switch waist locks before Oleg slams Oiwa with a suplex. Oiwa goes for an arm wringer before throwing him to the mat. Oiwa puts on an armbar as the second minute is over. Oleg gets his leg on the ropes. Oiwa hits an arm drag and another slam. Oleg hits a body slam and gets a near fall before the bell

KOPW 2023 Qualifier New Japan Rambo Match(Pre-Show)

Entry 1 is SHO. Entry 2 is Hikuleo. Sho goes for punches and steps back immediately when they does not affect them. Sho avoids a slam and leaves to the floor. Hikuleo runs after him and catches up. Evil enters at #3 to save Sho from a beatdown. Hikuleo fights out of the corner with a big boot on Evil and a body slam on Sho. Evil avoids a chokeslam but ends up eating a Full Nelson Slam. Entry number 4 is Tomohiro Ishii.

Ishii takes his sweet time to enter while Hikaloe continues to work on Sho. Ishii faces off against Hikuleo but they team up to work on Sho together. Sho leaves the ring to avoid more attacks. Ishii and Hikaleo start to fight now. Entry 5 is Great-O-Khan. Khan does not go into the ring and shows off his RevPro title. He attacks Evil upon entering the ring. Entry 6 is Douki. He goes after Khan and hits a hurricanrana and a dropkick. Ishii goes to eliminate Evil but his stablemates save him. Rocky Romero enters at 7 and saves Ishii from elimination. Sho ends up pushing Evil from the apron to eliminate him when he was going for Romero.

Romero hits corner splashes on Sho. Entry 8 is KENTA. He is doing a powerwalk down the ramp. Ishii is waiting for him in the ring. Kenta puts Ishii in the corner and starts to unload with punches. Ishii starts to hulk up but Kenta puts him on the apron. Great-O-Khan is trying to eliminate Romero when Entry 9 Yoshinobu Kanemaru enters. Kenta tells Romero to work with him but Nobu attack Kenta. Entry 10 is Aaron Henare.

Henare and Ishii collide in the middle with tackles and no-sell everything. They start to trade punches. Henare hits a spin-out slam but Romero saves Ishii from the pin. Entry 11 is Ryusuke Taguchi. Ishii is put on the apron by Khan and Henare and is booted to the floor for elimination. Entry 12 is Jeff Cobb. Shane Haste is entry 13. Douki is thrown out. Entry 14 is Mikey Nichols. Taguchi is eliminated by a pinfall. He gets knocked down to the floor by Romero. Romero goes for a ropewalk and gets eliminated by TMDK. Yujiro Takahashi enters at 15. Hikuleo is eliminated by TMDK who also eliminates Jeff Cobb. Henare is fighting off TMDK and teams up with Great-O-Khan to eliminate both TMDK members. Toru Yano enters at 16. El Phantasmo enters at 17. Aaron Henare is eliminated by El Phantasmo after a nipple twist on the apron. Taichi enters at 18.

Shingo Takagi enters at 19. Taichi and Shingo clash in the middle. Bullet Club go after Taichi and throw him to eliminate him. Shingo fights Kenta and Takahashi. Takahashi is eliminated by Takagi. Kenta is also thrown out by Takagi. Takagi throws El Phantasmo over the ropes but he lands on the barricade. Takahashi and Togo pick him up and puts him on the apron. Tagaki is pulled to the apron as Phastasmo fights him. Takagi succeeds in eliminating him. Sho, Toru Yano, Shingo Takagi, and Great-O-Khan are the last four remaining in the match and go to the qualifier tomorrow.

Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima & Togi Makabe vs Tatsumi Fujinama, Minoru Suzuki & Tiger Mask – Antonio Inoki Memorial Match(Pre-Show)

Nagata and Fujinama start the match with a lock-up and come to a stalemate. Nagata goes for an arm wringer and Fujinama reverses it. Fujinama hits a shoulder tackle before hitting side kicks. Nagata catches a kick and hits him with a dragon screw leg. Suzuki tags in and attacks Fujinama’s knee. Mask gets a quick tag as this team keeps up pressure on Fujinama. Fujinama counters with a Saito Suplex on Suzuki.

Kojima hits machine gun chops on Suzuki as he tags in. Suzuki comes back with a big boot in the corner on Kojima. They trade strikes and Suzuki drops Kojima with a big shot. Tiger Mask comes in for some double-team attack on Kojima before he hits a sit-out powerbomb for a two-count. Kojima hits a koji-cutter and tags in Makabe. Makabe sends Tiger to the corner and unloads with punches from the second rope.

Fujinama and Suzuki get into the ring when they see Tiger Mask getting overwhelmed. Fujinama hits the dragon screw leg on all three opponents. Tiger gets a two-count on Makabe with a crucifix. Makabe hits a power slam for a two-count. Suzuki stops him from a move from the top rope. Makabe overpowers Tiger and gets him in a pin attempt to get three counts.

Catch 2/2(Francesco Akira & TJP)(c) vs CHAOS(Lio Rush & YOH)- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship

Yoh hits a suicide dive on the champs during their entrance. Rush comes in for a double-team splash on TJP in the ring. Rush hits a dive on Akira and takes him to the ramp. TJP sends Yoh into the barricade. TJP then saves Akira from a suplex on the ramp. Akira and TJP hit a double-team facebuster on Rush on the ramp. Double-team action against Yoh is in the ring now.

Akira hits a clothesline in the corner and sets up Yoh in a Tree of Woe. TJP helps Akira with a ropewalk dropkick on Yoh. Yoh leaves the ring. Akira hits Yoh with a dive from TJP’s shoulders. TJP beats Yoh in the ring while Akira beats up Rush on the floor. TJP hits a running knee against the corner pad. He goes for the same on Rush but Rush cuts him off with a spear.

TJP stops Yoh from a tag and hits a dropkick. Akira and Rush get the tag. Rush hits an enzuigiri. TJP comes in and eats an enzuigiri himself. He hits a handspring elbow on both opponents at the same time. He hits a suicide dive on Akira next. Rush hits a twisted underhook facebuster on Akira. Yoh tags in before all four men hit each other with quick moves. Yoh hits a superkick on Akira to end that sequence.

Yoh hits Akira with a superplex and powerbomb combo. Rush hits a splash on Akira from the top but TJP breaks the pin. Yoh and Rush hits 3K but TJP hits a splash to break the pin. He hits a dropkick to send Rush to the floor. TJP hits TJP clutch on Yoh for a near fall. Yoh counters the leaning tower with a hurricanrana on Akira. Rush hits Spanish Fly on TJP. Rush and Yoh hit 3K on TJP but Akira pushes Rush into the pin fall to break it. Rush takes Akira to the floor. TJP counters a suplex with an inside cradle to get the pinfall.

KAIRI(c) vs Tam Nakano – IWGP Women’s Championship

They lock with collar and elbow. Kairi pushes Tam to the ropes. She flicks at Tam before a big forearm to the ribs. Tam puts on a side headlock. Kairi hits punches to the midsection. They run the ropes and Kairi hits an arm drag. Tam hits a running tackle. They trade punches in the middle. Tam fires with forearm strikes before Kairi hits a spear after a misdirection. Kairi hits a running elbow in the corner before an elbow from the top to get a two-count.

Tam hits back with a spinning heel kick. Kairi goes to the floor. Tam hits her with a crossbody before bringing her back to the ring. She hits a bridging suplex for a two-count. Kairi blocks a brainbuster and hits back elbows. Tam hits a delayed vertical suplex into a brainbuster for a near fall. Tam unloads with punches in frustration. Kairi hits back with a spinning back fist for a near fall. Kairi hits another spinning back fist. She goes to the top and hits Insane Elbow to get the pinfall.

Winner- KAIRI

The match has ended early as we are awaiting the arrival of Sasha Banks. Sasha’s in-ring name is The CEO Mercedes Mone’. Mone makes her entrance to the ring. Kairi is awaiting her in the ring. Kairi shows off her title after Mone gets into the ring. Mone puts her hand out for a handshake but hits her with her new finisher(a swirling DDT). Mone takes the mic and introduces herself as the Blueprint and The CEO. She announces that she will challenge Kairi for the title at Battle of The Valley in San Francisco on February 18.

FTR(Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)(c) vs Bishamon(Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto)- IWGP World Tag Team Championship

FTR mock their opponents by kissing their titles before handing them to the referee. Cash and Yoshi start the match. YH puts on an arm wringer. Cash rolls over to counter it into a side headlock. YH tries hard to break free but Cash puts on the pressure. YH counters it and pushes Cash to the ropes for a tackle. Goto and Dax tag in. Dax pushes Goto to the ropes. They jab at each other before they start to trade forearms.

YH gets into the ring for double-team hip toss on Dax. Cash is also thrown to the floor. Dax fights out of Lights out. Cash pulls Goto out and Dax hits a suplex on Hashi. Cash hits a suicide dive on Goto on the floor. Cash hits a suplex on Goto. Goto fights back against both opponents but FTR hit him with punches in tandem. FTR hit Goto with a powerbomb and Dax tries to get a pin but YH breaks the pin. YH is sent out again. Goto fights back against Dax and tags in YH. YH fights both opponents with quick strikes.

Dax gets a blind tag and hits a forearm from behind. YH hits him with a tackle. Goto comes in for Shoto but Dax blocks it again. Cash comes in and FTR hit Big Rig on Goto. Hashi breaks the pin. Cash hits a suplex on YH to send him down to the floor into the barricade. Goto blocks a powerbomb with a back-body drop on Dax. He does the same again before dropping Dax with a headbutt.

Hashi tags in and hits big forearms. Dax blocks Karma and hits a piledriver. FTR hit a spiked piledriver on Hashi to get a near fall. YH blocks Big Rig and hits a superkick on Cash. Goto comes and Bishamon sends Cash to the floor. Bishamon hit Shoto on Dax to get the pin.

Zack Sabre Jr. vs Ren Narita – Tournament Final for NJPW World Television Championship

Quick start as Sabre goes for an armbar. They counter each other in quick succession and come to a stalemate as Narita misses a penalty kick. Narita drops Sabre with a tackle. Sabre picks his arm and slams it to the mat. Sabre starts to work on the arm now with kicks and arm wringers. He follows up with an arm breaker.

Narita hits a belly-to-belly suplex to come back. He hits a corner splash and another suplex. Narita goes for an octopus stretch. Sabre breaks it using the damaged left hand. He hits a kick to the back which enrages Narita. Narita drops Zack and hits him with a kick to the back. They trade the kicks to the back one more time.

They trade big boots now and drop each other with it on the second attempt. Zack gets up quickly for a penalty kick. Narita hits a dropkick to drop Zack and both men are down now. Narita is first to get up and hits forearm shots. Zack catches his leg and goes for an ankle lock. Narita gets to the ropes quickly to break it. Zack hits kicks to his chest. Narita gets up to his knees and Zack hits him with more knees.

Narita drops him with a big kick to the chest himself for a two-count. Narita hits a Northern Light suplex and bridges it for a two-count. Zack goes for an arm triangle and Narita has to kick at his face to break it. Zack hits a Pele kick before hitting a kick to his injured arm. Narita goes for a choke. Zack gets him into a pinning predicament for a near fall.

Narita misses a spinning heel kick. Zack counters with another smart pin attempt and gets a close two-count. A bit of back and forth between them before Sabre puts on an armbar on Narita’s left arm to get the submission.

Winner- Zack Sabre Jr.

TMDK come out after the match and offer Sabre to join their group. Sabre puts on the jersey to join the group.

Karl Anderson(c) vs Tama Tonga – Never Openweight Championship

Karl dropped Tama with the title belt before the bell. He hands the title to the referee and the bell rings. Karl knocks off Tama from the apron. He then goes on to drop Tama on the railings. Tama breaks the count and Karl picks him up and takes him to the ramp. He hits a Bernard Driver on the ramp. He goes for the Gun Stun but Tama counters it to drop Anderson on the ramp.

They trade shots on the apron now. Karl blocks the Gun Stun on the apron and hits a big boot. Karl hits Tama with a couple of shots on the back of the head. Tama fires back with a series of punches. Karl goes for a clothesline but Tama drops him with a clothesline. Tama unloads in the corner. He misses a corner splash before Anderson hits a big boot. Anderson hits TKO for a close two-count.

Anderson goes to the top and hits Gun Stun for a near fall. Tama blocks his next move and drops him to the mat. Tama goes to the top now. Anderson meets him at the top for some punches. Tama drops him back and hits a crossbody. Tama hits supreme flow to get a near fall. Anderson blocks Gun Stun and takes him in fireman’s carry. Tama runs the ropes in quick succession. Anderson drops him with a big shot. Tama hits a DDT and follows up with Gun Stun to get the pinfall.

Los Ingobernables De Japon(Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & Bushi) vs Shota Umino, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Keiji Muto – Keiji Mutoh’s Last NJPW Match

Muto is starting the match for his team while Sanada starts from the other side after much deliberation. Sanada starts with a kick to the knee. Muto tries to bring him down but Sanada hits a dropkick. Sanada hits a moonsault from the top but Muto kicks out of the pin. Muto comes back with a couple of shots before hitting shining wizard. Muto hits a body slam and was going to the top for moonsault. Tanahashi stops Muto from doing the moonsault since he has not hit the move in years now.

Tanahashi tags in and hits an elbow drop. He knocks off Naito and Bushi from their corner. Tanahashi keeps up with an attack on Sanada before Sanada takes advantage of some distractions in the opposite corner. Bushi tags in and kicks at Tanahashi on the mat. Naito comes in to whip Tanahashi to the corner and hit him with a single-leg dropkick. Naito mocks Muto with “Too Sweet”. Tanahashi counters with a dragon screw.

Shota Imuno gets a tag and hits quick moves on Naita, Sanada, and then on Bushi. He hits a running uppercut on Naito in the corner. He hits a suplex for a two-count. He puts on a crossface on Naito. Muro locks figure four on Sanada while Tanahashi puts on Cloverleaf on Bushi. Naito reaches the ropes to break the crossface. Naito hits a back elbow, an inverted atomic drop and a neck breaker. Bushi tags in and hits a missile dropkick.

Umino hits a neck breaker before Bushi lands on his feet on an inverted neck breaker. Sanada hits dropkicks on Umino and Muto. Tanahashi hits sling blades on Bushi and Sanada. Naito has knocked off the apron. Muto hits the shining wizard on Bushi. Umino also hits the shining wizard on Bushi to get the pinfall.

Taiji Ishimori(c) vs Hiromu Takahashi vs El Desperado vs Master Wato – Four-way match for IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship

All four men in quick action to start. A lot is going to on keep track of. Desperado and Takahashi double team on Wato. Desperado rolls up Takahashi but it is broken by Ishimori. Wato then saves Takhashi from a pin by Ishimori. Wato rolls up Ishimore and Desperado rolls up Takahashi for near falls. Ishimori leaves the ring as he does not want to be part of this.

Wato works against Desperado and Takahashi in the ring. The trio in the ring realizes Ishimori is just resting on the ramp. Desperado goes to the ramp and Ishimore drops him on his head with a back body drop. Ishimori then drops Takahashi with a brainbuster. Wato ends up hitting Desperado and Takahashi with a dropkick before Ishimori drops Wato on the ramp. Ishimori gets into the ring while the other three barely beats the countdown.

Ishimori puts Desperado in a submission. Wato breaks free of his submission from Takahashi and sends him into Ishimori. Wato hits a hurricanrana on Takahashi. Ishimori pulls out Wato. He blocks a sunset flip from Takahashi. Desperado hits a suicide dive on Wato. Takahashi hits everyone with a dive from the top rope on the floor. Takahashi takes Wato to the ring and slams him into the turnbuckle pad. Desperado and Ishimore also get back.

Ishimore kicks Takahashi to the floor. Desperado hits a spinebuster on Ishimore. Wato hits a kick on Desperado. Takahashi hits Wato with a DDT. Wato ends up saving Ishimori from a piledriver by hitting a superkick on Desperado. Wato and Desperado drop each other with kicks. All four men are down in the ring. They beat the countdown but could not stand for long. They swing around for shots and kicks on each other.

Ishimori rakes Wato’s face. Wato blocks a handspring elbow. Wato hits a La Caratera and goes to the top for RPP. Ishimori joins him on the top. Takahashi hits a powerbomb which also drops Wato with a superplex. Desperado breaks up the pin. Desperado and Takahashi trade forearms. Desperado drops Takahashi with forearms twice. He hits Guitarra de la Muerta but Takahashi blocks it a second time. Takahashi has to let go of the counter since Wato dives with a crossbody. Wato hits Recientemente but Ishimori pulls the referee out.

Ishimori hits Wato with a chair but Wato hits him with Recientemente again. Takahashi breaks the pin. Wato hits a bridging suplex on Takahashi for a near fall. Takahashi hits Wato with Time Bomb to get the pinfall.

Will Ospreay(c) vs Kenny Omega – IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship

Omega avoids a knee strike as the bell rings. They lock up and Omega goes for an arm wringer. Ospreay rolls over to break free. Omega takes him to the mat with a side headlock takeover. Ospreay kips up after being tackled to the mat. Ospreay slaps Omega back in a show of defiance. He lands on his feet as Omega hits hurricanrana. Ospreay hits a hurricanrana himself. He hits a diving crosbody on Omega as he goes to the floor before whipping him into the barricade.

Omega pushes him off the ropes and into the barricade when they were returning to the ring. Omega brings Ospreay back to the ring and hits big shots to his back. Ospreay lands on his feet once again when Omega hits him with an armdrag. Omega is able to hit him with a hip toss and kicks at his back. More kicks from Omega to keep the pressure up before he whips Ospreay hard from corner to corner.

Kenny removes the turnbuckle pad from one corner. Omega then stomps on Ospreay’s back but Ospreay avoids the exposed corner. Omega hits him with a pump kick to send him into the exposed corner. He hits a backbreaker to get a two-count. Omega hits knee strikes to the ribs. Ospreay snatches Omega to block an arm drag. Omega has to work a bit to hit that arm drag. Ospreay drops him on the ropes with a back body drop and then hits a bit boot. Ospreay hits a cutter.

Ospreay nails forearms before hitting a handspring kick. He hits a flying forearm strike for a two-count. Omega blocks a piledriver and Ospreay resorts to kicks to his face. Omega nails a chop before Ospreay hits an enzuigiri. They now trade chops on the apron. Ospreay nails a thrust kick to break the pattern. Omega hangs onto the ropes to avoid an Oscutter on the apron and Ospreay lands on his back. Omega brings out a table and drops on Ospreay’s back. Omega hits a dibing double stomp on the table with Ospreay under it.

Ospreay gets fired up and unloads with body shots before dropping Omega on the broken table with a suplex. He follows up with a tornillo on Omega on the floor. Ospreay goes to the top and hits a hidden blade from there for a near fall. Omega blocks the Oscutter and hits a V-Trigger, a poisonrana, and a brainbuster for a near fall himself. Ospreay blocks a dragon suplex. Omega hits elbows to his kidney and sets him up on the top rope.

Omega goes for the avalanche dragon suplex but Ospreay lands on his feet and hits a spinning kick. Ospreay hits Oscutter but Omega kicks out of the pin. Ospreay sets up Omega on the top and hits thrust kicks to his face. Omega is standing on the second rope and Ospreay hits him with punches. Ospreay drops him with a big chop. Ospreay goes for a Spanish fly but Omega hits him with DDT into the exposed turnbuckle. The United Empire members are checking on Ospreay as his head is split open.

The countdown starts as Ospreay is down on the floor. Omega hits him with a basement slide dropkick to break the countdown. Omega hits him with a top con hilo on the floor. He sets up the broken table on the barricade and slams Ospreay’s face into it. The referee asks him to get back to the ring. Omega hits a piledriver for a near fall. Omega unloads with punches on the mat. The referee breaks them up. Ospreay gets up but Omega hits him with dragon suplex.

Omega hits another dragon suplex as Ospreay gets up. Ospreay catches his leg to stop him from a V-Trigger. Omega slaps at him and then hits a piledriver. Ospreay gets his legs to the ropes to break the pinfall. Omega hits a V-Trigger to knock Ospreay to the floor. Omega goes to the top but Ospreay disturbs the ropes and Omega drops on the exposed turnbuckle. Ospreay is having trouble finding his foot and Omega manages to drop him on the exposed turnbuckle on his jaw.

Omega hits him with V-Trigger against the exposed turnbuckle. Omega hits avalanche One Winged Angel but pulls Ospreay from the pin. Omega hits another V-Trigger but Ospreay kicks out of the pin. Omega hits another V-Trigger and screams at Ospreay to stay down. He hits more V-Triggers. Ospreay catches his knee and starts to hulk up. Ospreay hits a kick to the face and some chops. Ospreay hits a sit-out powerbomb but Omega kicks out. Ospreay hits the hidden blade twice and then hits Oscutter. He takes a few seconds to roll Kenny over for the pin and he kicks out.

Kenny slips out of Stormbreaker but Ospreay hits the Styles Clash. Ospreay waits for Kenny to get up and hits the hidden blade one more time. Kenny kicks out of the pin once again. Kenny slips out of Stormbreaker and hits V-Trigger. Ospreay hits hidden blade and both men are down now. They get up and start to trade forearms while continuing to talk trash. Ospreay nails quick forearms but Omega hits him with a straight jacket German suplex and bridges it for a close two-count. Ospreay spits at him as he hits V-Trigger. Omega follows up with One Winged Angel to get the pinfall.

Jay White(c) vs Kazuchika Okada – IWGP World Heavyweight Championship

Both men take in the atmosphere as the bell rings. White gets them to stop chanting for Okada and start clapping. They lock up and White pushes Okada to the ropes for a stalemate. They lock up again and Okada now puts White to the ropes. White slaps him before a kick to the midsection to open up a flurry of chops. Okada nails him with forearm shots before a neck breaker. Gedo pulls White out of the ring after a snap mare. Okada comes to the floor to intimidate Gedo.

White hits Okada with a Saito suplex as he returns to the ring. White stomps on him for a couple of times before raking his face. White hits elbows to Okada’s back and then hits a body slam to get a two-count. White puts on a chin lock before ducking a swing and turn it into a DDT to get a two-count. White slams Okada on the barricade and the apron a couple of times before dropping him on the apron with a suplex. White drops him on the ropes next. He follows up with a snap suplex into the turnbuckle pad for a two-count.

White mocks Okada with “Two” chants. He hits a big chop. He hits another chop before Okada hits him with a back-body drop. Okada hits a DDT next. Okada ducks a clothesline and a back elbow before hitting a clothesline. Okada hits a flapjack before he misses a corner tackle. White hits shoulder thrusts in the corner. Okada puts him on the top and drops him to the floor with a dropkick.

Okada takes White to the ramp. He hits both Whtie and Gedo with a DDT on the ramp when he tries to interfere. Okada brings White back to the ring and hits a missile dropkick. He puts on the Moneyclip. White hits elbows to the midsection to break it up. White hits a reverse STO and a deadlift German suplex. White hits a running uppercut and a brainbuster for a two-count. White hits a knee to the midsection before Okada hits an uppercut. White blocks a tombstone and hits punch to midsection.

White hits a fisherman buster. He puts on a choke and Okada pushes him into the turnbuckle. White hits a chop block to drop Okada. Okada kicks at his face. White hits a big chop and Okada no-sells it. Okada fires back with forearms after a couple of more chops. Okada hits a dropkick next. White rakes his eyes to block a tombstome. They counter each other before Okada puts on the Money clip. Okada quickly shits to a piledriver before hitting a lariat. Okada puts on the Money clip once again.

White takes his legs to the ropes to break it. White rolls to the floor. Gedo gets up on the apron when Okada was going for a dive. Okada nails him with a forearm. Okada then hits a senton on both Gedo and White. Okada takes White back to the ring and hits a body slam. Okada goes to the top to hit an elbow drop. Okada signals for the Rainmaker. White drops to his knees to avoid it. Okada kicks at his face.

White hits a weak forearm and Okada replies with a stiff elbow. The sequence repeats again. Gedo gets into the ring to distract the referee. White spits at Okada as he gets ready for the Rainmaker. White counters with an Urinage. Okada hits back elbows before White throws him over the ropes. White quickly brings him back to the ring and hits a snap dragon suplex. He hits Inoukiplex and bridges it for a near fall. Okada counters the Blade Runner with a German suplex.

Okada keeps the arm locked for the rainmaker. White gets free but Okada hits him with a backslide and htis a couple of clotheslines. Okada hits a dropkick. White blocks The Rainmaker but Okada also counters Blade Runner with a piledriver. White counters Rainmaker with Blade Runner for a near fall. Okada hits forearms to block Blade Runner. White throws an elbow before hitting a big lariat. White now signals for the Rainmaker. Okada counters Rainmaker and Blade Runner and hits Rainmaker himself but White kicks out.

They trade strikes on their knees. They get up their feet and trade more strikes. White hits big chops to drop Okada. Okada then nails White with a forearm. Okada hits more forearms. He waits for White to get back and they trade forearm strikes again until Okada hits a couple of uppercuts. White goes for Blade Runner but Okada hits an enzuigiri. Okada ends up hitting Blade Runner as they counter each other. Okada hits Cobra Flowsion and Rainmaker. Okada covers White and gets the pinfall this time.

Winner- Kazuchika Okada

White is not letting go off the title as the referee was trying to hand it to Okada. He lets it go after a while. The belt is put on Okada’s waist. White drags himself to the middle and gets up using Okada. Gedo helps him to back. Okada poses in the ring.

Shingo Takagi gets into the ring now and congratulates Okada for his win. Takagi reminds everyone that he lost the IWGP title to Okada one year ago, but he made up for it by winning KOPW 2022 trophy. He then challenges Okada for the title on February 1. He says he will also put the KOPW title on the line. Takagi drops the mic and leaves the ring.

Okada takes the mic now. Okada thanks the crowd for the support and says he will face Takagi in Osaka.
