Mustafa Ali Sets up Gunther Clash at WWE Night of Champions 2023

Another title match is set for WWE Night of Champions 2023 event as Intercontinental Champion Gunther defends the title against Mustafa Ali.

Gunther has held Intercontinental Championship since June last year and was drafted to WWE RAW during the Draft 2023. He made his first appearance on WWE RAW this week(May 15 episode). WWE also announced that a Battle Royal will determine his first title challenger.

Gunther additionally announced on the show that the winner of this Battle Royal would face him at Night of Champions 2023. Mustafa Ali ended up winning this Battle Royal after outlasting 20+ wrestlers to set up the match.

Imperium trios later tried to intimidate Ali backstage saying that winning the Battle Royal would be all of nothing. But Alo kept his “Motivational Ali” character going and wondered how Gunther would feel to going to Saudi Arabia but returning without the title. WWE Night of Champions 2023 event is set to take place on May 27, 2023, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
