MJF’s AEW Collision In-Ring Debut & Owen Hart Matches Set For July 1

MJF’s Collision debut match and 3 matches for Owen Hart Foundation Tournament are set for AEW Collision July 1, 2023 episode.
During the 24 June episode of AEW Collision, it was confirmed that AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman would make his in-ring debut on the July 1 episode of AEW Collision. The debut will happen after the result of MJF’s title defense against Hiroshi Tanahashi at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 PPV event.
MJF is currently feuding with Adam Cole and battled him to a draw on last week’s Dynamite episode. It remains to be seen if AEW sets up a rematch for Collision or does AEW World Champion gets a new opponent.

Three more matches for the 2023 men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament are also set for the show as announced in advance. Long-time rivals Samoa Joe and Roderick Strong will clash in one of these matches.
Juice Robinson and Ricky Starks will continue their rivalry in another first-round match. Robinson hit Starks with a loaded punch during an 8-man tag team match on June 24 AEW Collision, which led to Jay White pinning Starks to win the match.
Powerhouse Hobbs will face Dustin Rhodes in the last first-round match of the tournament. Hobbs made his Collision debut this week by beating Jeremy Prophet.
The first match of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament match will be held at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 PPV event where CM Punk will face Satoshi Kojima.
July 1 episode of AEW Collision will actually be a pre-taped show and will be recorded on June 29, 2023 at First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, ON.
