Rey Mysterio was announced to be the first to be a part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023, and now the greatest luchador has asked WWE to let Konnan induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Rey Mysterio is one of the very few wrestlers in WWE who are being inducted into the Hall of Fame while still being an active part of the WWE roster.
Rey Mysterio has 30 years plus career in which he has wrestled across different promotions like WCW, AAA, ECW, WWE, and more. In the late 90s and early 2000s, Mysterio used to be on a team with Konnan. He also wrestled on several different occasions.
Konnan is Mysterio’s long-time friend who was in the corner of Rey Mysterio despite going in a different direction in his career.
Dave Meltzer has reported Mysterio requested WWE for Konnan to induct him, and it seems like the promotion approved his request.
Currently, Rey Mysterio is involved in a feud with his son Dominik Mysterio which heats up every single week. The two will likely face each other at WWE WrestleMania 39, but the match between them is yet to be made official.
