Gonzalez vs Moon Announced for NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021
NXT has confirmed Raquel Gonzalez vs Ember Moon match for NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021.
Last week at NXT, Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai teamed up to face Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart in a tag team match. Moon and Blackheart won the match by pinning Kai, but Raquel attacked Blackheart after the match and left Blackheart unconscious.
This week, Ember Moon came out and demanded Raquel Gonzalez to come out to avenge the attack on Blackheart. Raquel came out just as NXT General Manager Willaim Regal tried to stop her. Moon and Gonzalez brawled briefly before the security separated them.
Then, Dakota Kai dropped Moon from behind before hitting Moon with a dropkick to send her out of the ring. Kai joined Raquel to celebrate with her.
Later in the show, Moon cut a promo saying that she will take care of Dakota Kai next week at NXT, and then she would challenge Raquel Gonzalez at NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021.
A total of 4 matches have been announced for NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021, which takes place on 13 June 2021. A fatal 5-way NXT Championship match and two other singles match are announced for the show.
