Welcome to the Live Results Blog for AEW Rampage episode on January 20, 2023, which featured 3 singles matches and a tag team match. (Pre-taped spoilers available here)

The Firm’s Ethan Page faced “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry after feeling humiliated that Big Bill and Lee Moriarty lost to JungleHook. We also heard from Eddie Kingston and Ortiz after they lost a tag team match last week to House of Black.

Brian Cage prepared for a showdown with Bryan Danielson by facing Willie Mack. Jade Cargill took part in her 49th match in AEW as she teamed up with Leila Gray. Action Andretti vs Daniel Garcia match completed the line-up.

LIVE UPDATES

Ethan Page vs Jack Perry

Page tries to hit Ego’s Edge right away but Perry slips out and sends Page to the corner. Perry hits chops in the corner. Page slips to the floor and argues with Matt Hardy. Perry hits them with a suicide dive. Hardy interrupts Perry as he was getting back to the ring. Page takes advantage to attack him but Perry counters with an armdrag and a dropkick. Perry hits a kick to the chest.

Matt Hardy interrupts Perry once again and Page drops him from behind. Page throws Hardy into the barricade. He goes and hugs Hardy in celebration. Page drops Perry face-first on the apron. Back to the ring. Page hits a backbreaker. He attacks the shoulder with some tackles before hitting a clothesline to the floor.

Perry fights back on the floor with chops and elbow strikes. Page hits back with punches and chops. Page takes Perry back to the ring and puts on a waistlock. Page hits a Military Press slam. We cut to a break.

Perry hits back with an elbow as we return. More chops follow before Page catches a crossbody. Perry hits a clothesline after a springboard from the ropes. Page hits a back body drop. Perry hits a boot from the corner before Page hits a crossarm drag and a powerslam for a two-count.

Page mocks Hardy with some shenanigans. Page goes for Twist of Fate but Perry blocks it and puts him to the corner. Perry hits several punches. Stokeley Hathaway comes to the top and also eats a big punch from Perry. Page hits Twist of Fate on Perry to get a two-count. Perry slips to the floor and Page tells Hardy to get him.

Hook’s music hits and he comes out to the stage. Page blocks a roll-up and tries to hang on to Matt Hardy’s pony tail. Hardy breaks free in reflex and Perry takes advantage of the momentum to roll up Page to get the pinfall.

Winner – Jungle Boy

Perry gets to the stage quickly to stand with Hook. Page and Hathaway argue with Matt Hardy. Hardy says he thought it was Perry who was holding onto his ponytail. Page then says Hardy will have one more chance to make this right. He announces a tag team match for Dynamite – Hardy & Page vs JungleHook. Hathaway says Hardy and Private Party are on a timeout.


Tony Schiavone is in the ring with Ortiz. Tony asks Ortiz if he and Eddie talked about what happened last week. Ortiz says Eddie hit a woman with a chair and this is a line that you do not cross. Ortiz says he should not be talking to Tony, but he should be talking to Eddie. Eddie comes out with a chair in his hand. Ortiz says this is the only way to get his attention. He says they have fought before but he hit a woman with a chair and they do not do that ever. Ortiz asks what will Homicide says to this. Eddie gets enrage and hits Ortiz with chair to midsection and then to his back. Eddie leaves the ring with his chair while Ortiz sells the injury.


We get a video package from Darby Allin. He says everyone is telling him to slow down after consecutive title defenses. After these defenses, he now wants to get old scores settled. He talks about how he and sting defeated House of Black to send them away, but they have now returned. Darby says he has defeated Brody King and challenges Buddy Mathews for Dynamite next week.

Brian Cage vs Willie Mack

Cage starts with an arm wringer. Mack turns it around with some flips. Cage puts on a side headlock. Mack dodges attacks from Cage by showing off some athleticism. Cage avoids a senton and sends Mack to the corner. He hits a big tackle and a German suplex. Cage takes Mack to the corner and continues to beat him up. He hits a running boot in the corner to the face.

Cage poses in the middle of the ring. Mack fights back on the apron with some slaps. Cage drops him on the apron with an Urinage to take us to a break.

Cage is still in control as we return. Mack hits a big boot and a pump kick. Mack hits a jumping kick to drop Cage. Cage runs into a clothesline and then a twisting elbow shot before a spinebuster for a near fall for Mack. Cage blocks a cutter and hits a pump kick. Cage hits a Samoan drop for a two-count.

Mack fights out of a powerbomb. Cage hits him with a jumping knee, a big shot and another knee strike in quick succession. Cage hits Drill Claw(Michinoku Driver) on Mack to get the pinfall.

Winner – Brian Cage

Jim Ross gives his best to Jacksonville Jaguars for their next match. Chris Jericho says he will be there to support the team.

Jade Cargill & Leila Gray vs Jaina Vanity & Jordan Vanity

Gray starts against one of the sisters. She puts on a front face lock. Her opponents fights out of it with punches to midsection and puts on a side headlock. Gray hits a jumping shoulder tackle. She punches the other sister on the apron before throwing the one in the ring into the corner to hit a dropkick.

Cargill gets the tag and hits an uppercut. Cargill throws her opponent to the other corner before hitting her with a pump kick. Gray tags in and hits a neckbreaker. The other Vanity sister tags in and Gray hits her with a facebuster. Cargill asks Gray not to get the pin. Cargill tags in and hits The Jaded to get the pinfall.

Winner – Jade Cargill

We get video packages from both men in the main event before the match.

Action Andretti vs Daniel Garcia

Garcia rushes Andretti to attack him in the corner with stomps. Andretti hits a springboard back elbow. He hits some big chops after removing his jacket. Garcia hits a kick before another chop from Andretti. Andretti hits a Tijeras before a tornillo to get a two-count. Andretti hits more chops on the ropes now. He sends Garcia to the apron and knocks him off with an enzuigiri.

AA hits a suicide dive on Garcia on the floor. Garcia leaves to the floor once again. He ducks a basement slide and hits a clothesline to drop Andretti on the floor. Garcia sends AA into the steel steps to injure his shoulder. We cut to a break.

Garcia is in control as we return and hits kicks to Andretti’s face. Andretti fires back with punches, a clothesline, a backbreaker and a neckbreaker. He hits a springboard senton on the floor. Back to the ring, AA hits a springboard split-legged moonsault to get a two-count. Garcia counters a springboard elbow with a choke. Andretti rolls over to get a pin attempt. Garcia hits a kick.

Andretti hits a superkick and a neckbreaker for a two-count. Andretti lands on the apron after a hard whip. He goes for a sprinboard forearm but Garcia cuts it off with a big punch for a two-count. They trade pin attempts for two-count. Andretti hits a tornillo and a running shooting star press to get the pinfall.

Winner – Action Andretti

Andretti celebrates his win in the corner. Chris Jericho is screaming at the commentary as the show goes off the air.
