AEW Dynamite August 9: Women’s Title Bout, MJF & Cole Segment Set
AEW has officially announced two segments for August 9, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite, and a match for AEW Women’s Champion between Hikaru Shida and Anna Jay.
During August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, Matt Menard told Jericho that the Jericho Appreciation Society has a mandatory meeting next week, and he has to be there. At the August 5 episode of AEW Collision, AEW Confirmed that Chris Jericho is set to hold a court session with Anna Jay, Tay Melo, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Sammy Guevara, and Daniel Garcia at the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Additionally, Hikaru Shida will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Anna Jay on the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite. Hikaru Shida won the championship by defeating Toni Storm in the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. The upcoming match will mark her first title defense.

MJF and Adam Cole segment is also set for the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite. During the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, Cole and MJF agreed on the AEW World Championship match at the main event of AEW All In 2023 PPV event.
