Valter Walker Out, Mohammad Usman Faces Jake Collier at UFC Vegas 79

Mohammad Usman is set to replace Valter Ignacio Walker at UFC Vegas 79 event.
Valter Ignacio Walker, brother of UFC Fighter Johnny Walker, was supposed to make his promotional debut at the event, but he has wait for a little bit longer for the same. According to the latest reports, he is ruled out of his inaugural UFC match against Jake Collier at UFC Vegas 79 event on September 23.
Renowned as The Clean Monster, Valter Walker hasn’t lost a single match in his MMA career. He won all 11 of his matches and is coming off a fourth-round TKO win against Alex Nicholson in June 2023.

Nolan King of MMA Junkie was the first one to report this news on Thursday. However, he didn’t reveal the reason behind Valter Walker’s withdrawal. On Friday morning, Nolan revealed that Mohammad Usman is coming in to replace him in the bout. Mohammad is the younger brother of former Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.
Mohammad won the heavyweight tournament of The Ultimate Fighter Season 30 last year by beating Zac Pauga in the final. He returend to action in April this year where he beat Junior Tafa via unanimous decision, which takes his undefeated streak to
Jake Collier is a veteran of the sport, but is currently on a three-fight losing streak. He is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Martin Buday.
UFC Vegas 79 is set to take place on September 23, 2023.
