Umar Nurmagomedov vs Raoni Barcelos Set for UFC Vegas 67
The undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov will be competing at the first UFC event of next year as he is set to square off against Raoni Barcelos at UFC Vegas 67.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto officially reported the matchup which was confirmed by several other sources as well. Ali Abdelaziz, the manager of Umar also gave the green light to this matchup.
Umar Nurmagomedov is the younger cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov and is another impressive member of Team Khabib. Umar is still undefeated in MMA and is 3-0 in UFC. He is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Nate Maness earlier this year in June.
On the other hand, Raoni Barcelos only won one out of his last three bouts. He recently rebounded with a decision victory against Trevin Jones. Before that he lost against Victor Henry and Timur Valiev.
Now, it will be interesting to see whether Umar continues to impress everyone and extend his undefeated streak or he will receive the first defeat of his career at the hands of Raoni Barcelos at UFC Vegas 67 on January 14, 2023.
