On January 7, 2022, Baniel Dariush vs Islam Makhachev match was reported as the headliner bout. Later on February 17, 2022, Dariush withdrew from the bout due to an ankle injury. Bobby Green replaced Dariush on short notice, and the bout was turned into a catchweight bout at 160 lbs.
On December 1, 2021, a fight between Cirkunov and Makhmud Muradov was first reported by Igor Lazorin on Instagram for this event. Later on January 27, 2022, Muradov announced via Instagram that he has suffered a hand injury. On January 28, 2022, UFC announced Turman as a replacement for Muradov[source]. Turman was earlier preparing to fight Rodolfo Vieira at UFC 270, but Vieira pulled out of the fight due to medical reasons.

Fares Ziam vs Terrance McKinney was scheduled to fight at UFC Fight Night on November 20, 2021. However, one of the cornermen for McKinney was tested positive for COVID-19 and the bout was canceled [source]. On December 4, 2021, Iridium Sports Agency confirmed via Instagram that the bout is rescheduled for this event.
