UFC 284 Broadcast Plans & Commentary Team Announced
UFC is set to present its second PPV event of 2023, UFC 284, this Saturday which will feature #1 ranked P4P going against #2 ranked P4P in the main event as Islam Makhachev will defend his lightweight title against Alexander Volkanovski.
UFC will debut a new commentary team as Joe Rogan & Daniel Cormier won’t be on call. Below is the detailed list of the talents who will be present at UFC 284 along with its broadcast plans.
Broadcast Plans
The early prelims of UFC 284 are tentatively scheduled for 6 PM followed by the televised prelims which will start at 8 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+. The main card of this PPV will begin at 10 PM ET and will be available to stream on ESPN+ for US residents.
Desk Analyst
Brendan Fitzgerald is all set to serve as the host and anchor at UFC 284. The former lightweight title challenger Michael Chandler, current light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith, and Laura Sanko will be present as desk analysts.
In-Ring Announcer
The most renowned octagon announcer of all time Bruce Buffer will return to serve as the in-ring announcer at UFC 284.
Roving Reporter
John Gooden, a longtime UFC correspondent, will handle the duties of a roving reporter this Saturday. He will conduct pre and post-fight interviews with the fighters and will also provide real-time updates on the event.
Cageside Commentators
Jon Anik will continue to be the leading man on the mic. But this time he will command play-by-play alongside the former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and former two-time champion Dominick Cruz. This will be the first time this trio will call a PPV event together.
