UFC 286: Omar Morales to Replace Michal Figlak Against Chris Duncan
Michal Figlak won’t be a part of the scheduled lightweight bout at the upcoming UFC 286 PPV event.
According to the latest reports, Omar Morales will replace Michal Figlak against Chris Duncan at UFC 286 on March 18, 2023. Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN was the first one to report this change.
Initially, Michal Figlak was scheduled to face Duncan but Figlak withdrew from this bout due to an injury. He also revealed that he would soon undergo knee surgery.
Omar Morales agreed to replace Figlak on short notice against the former Bellator fighter who will make his UFC debut. Chris Duncan earned his way to UFC by defeating Charlie Campbell via first-round TKO.
On the other hand, Omar Morales is not going through a really good form. He lost 3 out of his last 4 matches. He is on a two-fight losing streak and is coming off a second-round TKO loss against Uros Medic. His last UFC win came against Shane Young back at UFC 260.
Morales will certainly try to bounce back from these losses whereas Chris Duncan will try to make an impact in his very first UFC match.
UFC 286 will take place at the O2 Arena in London, and will be headlined by Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman III.
