Kowalkiewicz is having a late resurgence with 3 fights winning streak after losing 5 bouts in a row. She has defeated Felice Herrig, Silvana Gómez Juárez and Vanessa Demopoulos. The win over Demopoulos came at UFC Vegas 74 event. Overall UFC record for 37 years old Polish fighter stands at 8-7.

Belbiţă is coming off a win over Maria Oliveira at UFC 289 PPV. Before that, she lost to Gloria de Paula in February 2022. Her overall UFC record stands at 2-3.

ESPN also added Alex Morono vs Joaquin Buckley bout to the fight center page of UFC Vegas 80. The event is set to take place on October 7, 2023, at UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV, with Grant Dawson vs Bobby Green as the headliner.
