After several canceled bouts, Dricus Du Plessis is finally getting a chance to and too against a ranked opponent in the form of Brad Tavares at UFC 276

MMA Fighting confirmed that Brad Tavares vs Dricus Du Plessis’s middleweight bout is added to the card of UFC 276 which is scheduled to take place on July 2.

Dricus Du Plessis was supposed to compete at UFC 273, but all of his fights got scrapped. Initially, he was paired against Chris Curtis, but then Cutis was forced out of the bout, and Du Plessis received a new opponent in the form of Anthony Hernandez

However, when Kevin Gastelum needed someone to face at the event, Dricus Du Plessis was booked to face him. But then Gastelum withdraws from the match due to injury.

Du Plessis is in red hot form and managed to get finished in his last two Octagon appearances against Markus Perez and Trevin Giles.

On the other hand, Brad Tavares is also on a two-fight winning streak and is coming off a split decision victory against Omari Akhmedov at UFC 264.

So, now it is likely that either Du Plessis or Tavares’ winning streak will be snapped when they face each other on July 2 at UFC 276.
