Joe Lauzon vs Donald Cerrone Nixed from UFC Austin Match Card

The co-main event of UFC Austin will see some changes as the scheduled bout between Donald Cerrone and Joe Lauzon has been scratched from the match card. 

This is the second time, the bout between Lauzon and Cerrone got nixed. Initially, they scheduled to face each other at UFC 274 but then Cerrone got ill on the fight day. This time, Lauzon got injured after weigh-ins which resulted in the cancellation of the bout again. 

Ariel Helwani was the first one to report this news which was later confirmed by UFC via press release. 

Joe Lauzon took to his Instagram handle to share a video in which he stated that he would not be fighting Cerrone tonight. He also stated that the injury took place after weigh-in when he went to sit on the chair and was putting on his socks, and then his knee locked up. 

UFC Austin, aka UFC on ESPN 37 is set to be headlined by Clavin Kattar vs Josh Emmett Featherweight bout.
