Eddie Hearn to Sue Jake Paul for Match Fixing Accusations
According to the latest reports, Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn is all set to sue Youtuber cum Boxer Jake Paul for more than $100 Million.
Hearn took this action after Paul claimed that Eddie paid the judges and fixed the fights. As a result, Hearn decided to file a lawsuit for defamation against Paul.
Frank Salzano, attorney of Eddie Hearn, told TMZ that there is a clear line that separates opinion from defamatory lines both legally and ethically.
He also stated that Jake Paul purposely crossed this line and accused the Matchroom Boxing CEO of fixing matches.
Salzano shed the light on the fact that Eddie Hearn will be looking to get the return for the damage done in the form of $100 million, and Jake Paul will face legal consequences for his words.
Jake Paul gained a significant amount of fame as a boxer in the last few years. He also defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in two back-to-back boxing matches.
Jake Paul wasn’t happy with the scoring of the Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua rematch, especially with Feldman’s scorecard. Hence, he claimed that there was foul play betweeN Hearn and Feldman.
