Jon Moxley Beat Spears on Dynamite Debut, PAC Attacks Omega

Jon Moxley AEW Double or Nothing

Jon Moxley defeated Shawn Spears in their debut match at AEW Dynamite this week.

After missing out on AEW All Out 2019 due to a staph infection, Jon Moxley made a return to AEW on last week’s AEW Dynamite debut by attacking Kenny Omega. This week, he was announced to be facing Shawn Spears in his debut match for AEW Dynamite. Those two men presented a physical match, as it mostly is when Moxley is involved.

Tully Blanchard, who was in Spears’ corner, interfered in the match a few times and even send Moxley into the barricade. This started a period of domination for Spears who hit Moxley with a spinebuster, driver and locked him in the Boston Crab. After a bit of back and forth, Moxley got the three count over Spears with a perfectly timed Paradigm Shift.

Post-match, Kenny Omega, Moxley’s opponent for AEW Full Gear 2019, came out with a broom stick wrapped in barbed wire. He also brought a wired baseball bat and handed it to Moxley. As they were about to face-off, PAC jumped from the announce desk to the entrance ramp and hit Omega with a steel chair, almost splitting his head in two.

PAC was earlier in the commentary for the match between Moxley and Spears. During his commentary stint, he complained about having his win-loss record overlooked by AEW management in order to be given a AEW World Championship title shot. PAC defeated Kenny Omega at AEW All Out where he actually replaced Jon Moxley. PAC also defeated Adam Page last week on Dynamite episode.
