Authors of Pain Signed for Monday Night RAW
Former RAW Tag Team Champions Authors of Pain(AOP)- Akam and Rezar, are signed to Monday Night RAW as per the new announcement from WWE.
AOP was not part of the Superstar Pool that was available for the WWE Draft 2019 over two nights. Resultingly, both Akam and Rezar were available for free signing. Rezar announced on Twitter last night that they have signed with Monday Night RAW once again after a long negotiation.
After a highly successful stint with NXT from 2016 to 2018, AOP made their RAW debut last year at post WrestleMania episode. They defeated Seth Rollins in a handicapped match to win the RAW Tag Team Championship on 5 November edition of RAW.
They went on to defeat SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar in the Interbrand Tag Team Champions match at Survivor Series. Later, they lost the titles to Bobby Rodde and Chad Gable in December. After this loss, Akam was sidelined due to an injury. Rezar was last seen in action at Royal Rumble pre-show where he partnered with Scott Dawson for a title opportunity against Roode and Gable.
AOP has been seen in vignette videos on RAW and SmackDown for the last month or so. They have been cutting promos saying that nobody in WWE actually wants to fight them while hyping their return to the ring.
