As per some reports, Oney Lorcan has requested the release from his WWE contract sometime last week.

Now, PWInsider is reporting that Oney Lorcan has requested his WWE release. They were able to confirm this with multiple sources. He asked for his release at the end of last month. PWinsider also reports that WWE has not granted the release to Oney Lorcan at this time.

A few days ago, Oney Lorcan changed his Twitter profile back to his former name Biff Busick. Not only this, he seemed to have deleted all his previous activities on the account. Oney Lorcan has been involved in many televised matches in 205 Live and NXT.

But he has been booked on the losing side all this while with hardly any wins in his account. He also challenged Drew Gulak for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at SummerSlam this year, which is his only PPV match of the year.

With so many athletes looking for regular and significant spots on the shows, it is normal for some of them to be disgruntled when not provided with the proper spotlight. However, the list of such wrestlers in WWE has been increasing significantly this year.

Since the start of the year, Kenta, TJP, Shawn Spears, The Revival, Sasha Banks, Luke Harper, Mike Kanellis(twice), Sin Cara and some others also have requested WWE contracts release. While Shawn Spears, Kenta, and TJP got their releases, WWE is not letting others go easily.
