Rey Mysterio vs Bray Wyatt for WWE Universal Championship is announced for Mexico City Supershow on 30 Nov 2019

The main event for the WWE Supershow in Mexico City, Mexico on 30 November 2019 has now been changed.

Earlier, the Miz was challenging The Fiend Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship in a Steel Cage match. But the Miz is now replaced with Rey Mysterio, possibly due to his appeal to the Mexican audience. Mysterio is next scheduled to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2019. Going by Mysterio’s booking in Mexico, it seems that he might be losing that match.

Mysterio was earlier scheduled to team up with Cain Velasquez to take on Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton in Mexico. However, that match was changed after Velasquez’s defeat to Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel. At the time, it was speculated that Velasquez has been pulled out of the event due to his knee injury. But, Velasquez is now announced to teaming up with Humberto Carrillo to take on the OC’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

The Mexico supershow comes just a day before WWE Starrcade 2019 show which takes place on 1 December. Bray Wyatt is once again advertised to defend his title against the Miz in a steel cage at Starrcade also.
