Two More Title Matches Announced for RAW Season Premiere

WWE has announced two more matches for RAW season premiere episode on 30 September 2019 with United States championship and RAW Tag Team Championship being on the line.

In the first of those match announced, AJ Styles will be defending the United States Championship against Cedric Alexander in a rematch from Clash of Champions. The feud between them started when the OC jumped on Alexander before his King of the Ring Quarterfinals match against Baron Corbin.

Alexander later pinned Styles to end the 10 men tag team match at MSG edition of RAW. It set up the United States title match between Alexander and Styles where Styles was able to get a dominant win. At this week’s RAW, it was Alexander’s turn to jump on Styles to resume their feud.

Another title match announced out of blue is a cross-brand match for RAW Tag Team championship. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler will be defending the title against the Heavy Machinery, who are actually from SmackDown.

They eliminated 4 tag teams from the match- Lucha House Party, Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins, the Revival and then finally the Heavy machinery, to fix the title match at Clash of Champions.

At Clash of Champions, Roode and Ziggler won the championship at Clash of Champions by successfully defeating Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman.

  • Seth Rollins vs Rey Mysterio – WWE Universal Championship Match
