Below are the results and updates from NXT TV tapings for the episodes from April 2019. Spoilers Ahead

17 April 2019 Episode

  • A new intro video for the show using Slipknot’s “All Out Life” for the theme song.
  • Reina Gonzalez beats Lacey Lane.
  • Velveteen Dream (c) beat Buddy Murphy to retain the NXT North American Championship. Dream hit the Fame-Asser, Dream Valley Driver and the Purple Rainmaker in quick succession to get the pin.
  • A video is played of Adam Cole blaming Roderick Strong for his loss at TakeOver: New York against Johnny Gargano.
  • Raul Mendoza over Riddick Moss. Moss with his new Riddick Regimen gimmick(fitness guru gimmick). Raul hits a twisting springboard splash for the win.
  • Johnny Gargano comes out for a promo segment. He talks about his journey and how he can stand here as Johnny Champion, and the Undisputed ERA arrive, without Roderick Strong. Adam Cole claims to be the uncrowned champion and says Gargano just got lucky. Johnny says he did lose the first fall, but then he tapped Adam out in 2 straight falls. Johnny says if BayBay wants to grow a pair, he’ll add more tallies to the scoreboard. He is willing to give him a rematch. Roderick comes out of the crowd to attack Johnny and the Undisputed Era finish the segment with a beatdown.
  • Dominik Dijakovic over Fry Daddy, who’s the newest person to be selected to work an NXT taping by way of a WWN seminar. Dijakovic hits a huge knee to the face and gets the pin.
  • Post-match, Dijakovic cuts a promo about how he’s here for his family who have immigrated to the US, and the North American Championship is his opportunity.
  • Shayna Baszler (c) over Kairi Sane by disqualification to retain the NXT Women’s Championship after trainers had to check on Kairi and Io Shirai attacked to avenge her friend. Kairi’s loss ensures that she won’t challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship again.
  • Kairi takes a bow to NXT Crowd afterward, seemingly wrapping up her time in NXT.

24 April 2019 Episode

  • Humberto Carrillo beats Jaxson Ryker by disqualification. Ryker just killed Humberto and beat him all over the ringside area until the ref called for the bell for the DQ. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch make the save on the post-match beatdown on Carrillo.
  • Candice LeRae and Kacy Catanzaro over Aliyah and Vanessa Borne. The heels work over Kacy at the start. Kacy makes the hot tag and Candice runs wild. Candice hits a neckbreaker and a lionsault for the win.
  • War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe) beat Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) with a pinfall after an assisted pop-up powerslam.
  • Johnny Gargano beat Roderick Strong. Gargano has Strong in the Gargano Escape when Adam Cole interrupted. Cole’s super kick his struck Strong instead.
  • The Undisputed Era came out for another beatdown on Gargano but Matt Riddle ran in to make the save on Gargano. An Argument between Rodrick Strong and Adam Cole after this.

1 May 2019 Episode

  • Humberto Carrillo over Jaxson Ryker by disqualification in a repeat of the earlier match with Lorcan and Burch making the save.
  • Dominik Dijakovic beat Mansoor with a pinfall after ‘Feast Your Eyes’ move.
  • Post-match, Velveteen Dream arrives on his couch and has a confrontation with Dijakovic in which he displays a promo in text form on the titantron.
  • Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, & Wesley Blake) beat Danny Burch, Humberto Carrillo, & Oney Lorcan. Cutler and Blake both hit the stomp off the top rope on Carrillo and Lorcan for the win.
  • KUSHIDA in his first match in NXT. Possibly with the name Chris Hero Wrestling. KUSHIDA beats Kassius Ohno with a submission from the Hoverboard Lock.
  • Bianca Belair over Mia Yim. Bianca Beliar used her hair for an assist in her match-winning pin.
  • Matt Riddle vs Adam Cole. Bro 2 Sleep and a huge knee, but Cole rolls out of the ring. Roderick Strong runs down and checks on Cole, and eats a kick for his troubles. Cole catches Riddle with a superkick while the ref is distracted, but Riddle kicks out and locks in the Bromission for the tap out.
  • Post-match, Cole and Rodrick argue while Fish and O’Reilly keep them separated. They end up leaving on opposite sides of the ring with Fish talking down Roddy and Kyle talking down Cole.
