The show opens with the commentators hyping up tonight’s line-up. The Undertaker & AJ Styles will do a contract signing today while Stone Cold Steve Austin will also appear on the 3:16 day.
But it is another WWE Hall of Famer who is opening the show tonight. Edge comes out to the ring and takes us to a vignette for the events between him, Randy Orton and Beth Phoenix. Edge talks about their history before calling Orton an entitled brat. He then calls out Orton, tells him that if he has the guts, he should face him in the last man standing match at WrestleMania.
RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is seen entering the WWE Performance Center in a custom painted 18 wheeler truck. She honks for a bit before coming out to enter the building.
WWE Royal Rumble 2020 match replay is being shown which is gonna take 1 hour at least.
The UnderTaker marches to the ring very quickly unlike his usual entrances. He is also not donning his robes and hat. Jerry Lawler was in the ring but leaves when Taker starts throwing away chairs and tables. We get a replay of AJ Styles’ promo from last week where he blamed Michelle McCool to drive UnderTaker to the grave.
Tom, on commentary, confirms that Undertaker is pissed because there was no contract on the table when he entered. Taker continues to pace in the ring until AJ Styles’ music hits. But he does not come out. The same thing happens again. AJ, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson now appear on the screen.
AJ Styles has the contract in his hand as he cuts the promo. He says The Undertaker is a legend who has carried the business on his back, but he keeps putting himself in a company that wants to see him gone. He goes on taking shots at Taker and his wife. He finally signs the contract and asks Anderson and Gallows to bring the contract to the UnderTaker. They are not interested but AJ orders them.
Gallows and Anderson head to the ring with the contract. They hesitatingly puts the contract on the apron and start backing up. But the gong hits and the lights go out. The light comes back on and Taker is standing behind them. Taker attacks Gallows and Anderson at ringside, throwing them into the barriers and the steel ring steps. He then signs the contract and shoves it in Anderson’s mouth. AJ is frustatingly watching this on the big screen. Taker goes up the ramp as his music starts. They stare down at each other as AJ is on the big screen.
Rey Mysterio defeated Andrade in a singles match. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka was at the commentary during this match, rooting for Andrade.
