Women’s WarGames Match Announced for WWE Survivor Series 2022
The first WarGames match is now announced for WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 event.
Bianca Belair screamed “WarGames” at Damage CTRL to put out the challenge for the caged tag team match during this week’s RAW episode. Bianca’s team will have Asuka and Alexa Bliss, along with two other women. Bayley will partner with her Damage CTRL teammates Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky along with Nikki Kross. The last members of both teams are not revealed yet.
The rivalry between Bianca’s team and Bayley’s Damage CTRL is more than 3 months old now. Bayley returned from her injury at Summerslam to confront Bianca Belair. Bayley and Bianca were feuding before Bayley’s injury in July 2021. She did not return alone though, as she brought Kia and Sky with her to form Damage CTRL. The aim of the group is to take control of the women’s division.
Bayley has managed to pin Bianca Belair twice- once at Clash at the Castle and once at RAW three weeks back when Nikki Cross interfered. However, she has failed to defeat Bianca in title matches. Bianca first retained the title at Extreme Rules in a Ladder match and then defeated Bayley at Crown Jewel in a Last Woman Standing match.
On the other hand, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky became the Women’s Tag Team Championship in September. Alexa Bliss and Asuka, who have been with Bianca in the feud since the start, defeated Kai and Sky to win the titles last week on RAW. However, they lost the titles back to Kai and Sky at Crown Jewel.
This week on RAW, Bianca Belair made it clear that the rivalry between the two sides was far until Asuka and Bliss won the titles. Damage CTRL came out and got involved in another brawl. As Bianca’s team stood tall, she said this could only be settled in a WarGames match. Nikki Cross then attacked Bianca from behind and Damage CTRL pounced on the trio to beat them up.
Later, Damage CTRL motivated Nikki Cross and pointed out how similar Cross is to them. Cross also defeated Dana Brooke to win the 24/7 Championship. She later threw the title in a dustbin also.
It remains to be seen who will be the other 3 competitors in the match. Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair rivalry was teased earlier during this week’s RAW episode. Mia Yim could join Team Bianca as she returned to start a feud with Rhea Ripley and Jugdment Day.
WWE Survivor Series 2022 event is scheduled for November 26, 2022. It will be the first time that WarGames match is coming to WWE main roster event. WWE NXT held the match for the last five years at NXT WarGames event in November/December.
