Update on William Regal’s AEW Contract Length

William Regal AEW

The fans might have to wait for a much longer time if they want to see William Regal back in WWE.

According to the latest update by Dave Meltzer, William Regal has signed a three-year deal with AEW. Initially, he reported that Regal has signed a one-year deal, but now he made corrections in his latest tweet.

On the November 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley told Regal to run away as far as he can and never ever come back. This began the speculation of Regal leaving the company.

Later, Triple H also used videos of William Regal screaming “WarGames” to promote the event. This also sparked the rumor of Regal returning to WWE.

However, that wasn’t the case. Regal will not be returning to WWE anytime despite his connections with Triple H. It will only happen if Tony Khan lets him out of his contract which is very unlikely at this moment.

William Regal was the leader of the Blackpool Combat Club and was a major part of the MJF’s storyline. He turned on Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2022 and helped MJF become the new AEW World Champion.
