The Smackdown Women’s Champion faced off in a Beat the Clock Challenge against Nikki Cross this week on Monday Night Raw. Bayley picked up a victory over Sarah Logan in 4 minutes and 21 seconds. But she ultimately lost the Challenge when Cross pinned Dana Brooke in under 3 minutes.

As a result, Cross star was able to choose the stipulation for Bayley’s upcoming title defense against Alexa Bliss. She announced that she would be joining in the match, making it a 2-on-1 handicap match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. While the complete scenario is not confirmed, it can be assumed that Bliss will get the championship regardless of whoever pins Bayley in the match.

Bayley won the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank when she used the MITB contract on Charlotte Flair. She later successfully defend the title against Alexa Bliss at Stomping Grounds where Nikki Cross was in Bliss’ corner. It was Cross again who defeated Bayley to get the rematch for Bliss at Extreme Rules.
