Bayley-Alexa Bliss Rematch Booked for Extreme Rules 2019
Bayley will once again defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules 2019 PPV show after Nikki Cross managed to beat her at SmackDown this week.
Last Sunday at Stomping Grounds, Bayley successfully defended her title against Alexa Bliss. Bliss pinned the blame for her loss on Nikki Cross and asked her to find a way to get her the rematch. At SmackDown, Cross informed Bliss that she has got a match against Bayley with the stipulation that if Cross could beat Bayley then she’ll win another SmackDown Women’s Title match for Bliss.
During the end of that match, Bayley and Cross traded some attempts to get the pin from maneuvers like Crucifix pin and small package. But Cross ultimately managed to get the pin in the same manner. Now Bayley will have to defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Alexa Bliss yet again at Extreme Rules.
Bayley won the Money in the Bank Ladder match last month and went on to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the same night after cashing in the MITB briefcase on Charlotte Flair. Alexa Bliss originally became the no. 1 contender for the title by winning the triple threat match against Charlotte Flair and Carmella.
But Bayley was able to win in her first title defense at Stomping Grounds. During the match, Bliss threw Nikki Cross in the line of a suicide dive from Bayley. Cross came in the ring to protest regarding it and Bayley took the advantage to hit her finisher on Bliss.
