AJ Styles vs Drew Gulak – WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Ever since he has won the Intercontinental title, AJ Styles has not been able to taste victory. First, it was Drew Gulak who bested him. And then came Matt Riddle who upset The Phenomenal One with a win in his debut match on SmackDown. On both occasions, AJ was undone more by his obsession with Daniel Bryan than something his opponents did.
This week at SmackDown, Styles will have to defend his title against Drew Gulak due to the previous loss. With Daniel Bryan expected to be at the ringside, it will be interesting to see if he turns out to be a factor again.
Sheamus to Toast for Jeff Hardy
Another chapter for Sheamus and Jeff Hardy will unfold this week on SmackDown. Sheamus will attempt to mock the Charismatic Enigma with a toast for him.
Sheamus and Hardy are at 1-1 win each in their latest round of matches. Hardy won their match in the IC title tournament while Shemus got a win in the match at Backlash 2020. This segment would definitely set them up for another bout number 3 in the near future.
Matt Riddle Interview
Matt Riddle had a good start in his SmackDown career when he defeated AJ Styles in his debut match. But the simple question for Riddle will be what is his next step on the roster?
We might get some hint towards it when he appears for an interview with Michael Cole on SmackDown tonight.
