Roman Reigns(c) vs Daniel Bryan – WWE Universal Championship
Daniel Bryan supported Cesaro’s bid for a Universal title match throughout last week’s SmackDown episode. He cut a brilliant promo, partnered Cesaro in a tag team win over Jey Uso and Seth Rollins and called out Roman Reigns. He even threatened Adam Pearce to get Cesaro the title match.
But as Roman entered the scene, he refused to credit Cesaro being worthy of a title shot and instead decided to get rid of Bryan once and for all. Roman gave Daniel Bryan the title match but added that if he loses, Bryan had to leave SmackDown. Bryan took that offer and will we see them face-off on tonight’s SmackDown.
As the stipulation states, Bryan will have to leave SmackDown(not WWE) if he loses. But will WWE take such drastic step? Blocking Bryan from ever appearing on SmackDown is a big thing. But so will be dethroning Roman Reigns! So, which way is it going to be?
Apollo Crews(c) vs Big E – Intercontinental Championship
Big E missed SmackDown for a week after losing the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania. As he returned last week, his first move was to intimidate Kevin Owens who was facing Crews in a title match. Apollo was able to retain the title against Owens but Big E jumped on him.
WWE later announced that the title rematch between them for this week’s episode. Will Big E take the title back just three weeks after losing it? It seems highly unlikely since Crews will have his Commander Azeez around.
