The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, encountered an injury during the SummerSlam 2023 event.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that Roman Reigns sustained an early injury during his match against Jey Uso at WWE SummerSlam. Fightful Select also reported that Reigns suffered the injury, but no one in the WWE creative knew about the injury until Tuesday.

Fightful also reported that Reigns has not been listed for any WWE TV appearances in the upcoming months. So, it will not affect any of WWE’s creative plans even if the injury takes a bit of time to heal.

Roman Reigns is set for the July 11, 2023 episode of SmackDown, where Jimmy is scheduled to address the betrayal on his brother during SummerSlam 2023 PLE event. However, he is advertised to make any more appearances after that for a while.

At the SummerSlam 2023 PLE event, Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Jey Uso. Following his successful title defense, Reigns took to his Twitter account to announce that he is currently on vacation.

The Undisputed Universal Championship match at SummerSlam lasted for 36 minutes, which signifies Reign’s longest match at a Premium Live Events. Although SummerSlam marked the first title defense for Roman Reigns after WrestleMania 39, where he successfully defeated Cody Rhodes.
