We have known for a month that the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be on the line at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 event.

Now, WWE has officially released a poster featuring Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre who will be headlining the event in the Universal title match.

Drew McIntyre has been talking about challenging for the title at WWE’s first PLE/PPV event in UK ever since it was first announced. He confirmed his place in the match by defeating Sheamus in Irish Donnybrook match at Smackdown last week.

Roman Reigns had to defend the title against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam in Last Man Standing match. The Tribal Cheif was successfully in retaining the title after some help from The Usos and burying Lesnar under debris, chairs, tables and anything that he could find.

WWE Clash at the Castle will take place on September 3, 2022, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. It is expected that WWE might give Drew his big moment at this event and end Roman Reigns’ 700+ days title reign.

Drew McIntyre earlier won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36, but the crowd was not there during his title run in the pandemic era. He failed to win the title at WrestleMania 37 and Crown Jewel 2021 when he got title shots with the crowd back.

Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship at Payback event in August 2020 by defeating Braun Strowman and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. He later won the WWE Championship by defeating Brock Lesnar in a Winner Takes All match in the main event of night 2 of WrestleMania 38.

Will WWE pull the plug on The Head of the Table’s title reign? Or will Roman reign supreme for longer? Keep tuned in for all the latest updates.
