WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 event is WWE’s first PPV/PLE event in UK since Summerslam 1992. The event will take place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on September 3, 2022.
WWE has announced that the Universal Championship match will take place at this event between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. Shayna Baszler will challenge Liv Morgan for SmackDown Women’s title. Gunther defends his Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus.

August 31, 2022: Give Me Sport reported that Tyson Fury is expected to appear at Clash at the Castle event, but he is not expected to get physical with anyone.

August 22, 2022: Xero News reported that a poster for a match between Edge and Finn Balor is already prepared for the show. Several other reports previously mentioned this match to be in the plan for the event.
August 21, 2022: BT Sports announced that Clash at the Castle event will air live on BT Sports 2 TV channel for free in UK.
August 19, 2022: Sheamus won the fatal 5-way #1 contender match for Intercontinental Championship to set up a clash with Gunther.
August 15, 2022: Riddle returned to RAW for a promo with Rollins and attacked him later. Rollins escaped through the crowd. Riddle then challenged Rollins for their postponed match. WWE made the match official later.
August 13, 2022: Finn Balor said he will be on the card in Cardiff at this event.

August 8, 2022: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka challenged Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky for a tag tea match. Bayley proposed that the match takes place at Clash at the Castle. Bianca accepted the proposal.
August 5, 2022: Shayna Baszler won a Gauntlet match to become the #1 contender for SmackDown Women’s Championship to set up a match against Liv Morgan.

July 8, 2022: WWE announced a match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus with the winner getting a Universal title shot at Clash at the Castle. However, Sheamus postponed that match and put Butch to face McIntyre. This match is expected to take place at a later show.
