Who Will Bobby Lashley Face Tonight?
Bobby Lashley was clearly not happy with his title defense at WrestleMania Backlash being turned into a triple threat affair even before it was confirmed. It was the same way he lost the United States title back in February at Elimination Chamber to Riddle. But Drew McIntyre lost to Braun Strowman and, as per the stipulation, was added to the WWE title match.
This week, the WWE Champion will set out to prove that he could defeat both his competitors if he faces them one-on-one. With the same goal in mind, he will face either man between Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre tonight on RAW. WWE has tried to maintain a bit of intrigue over the actual opponent. But will either of them want to face Lashley in a non-title match?
AJ Styles & Omos(c) vs New Day – WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match
AJ Styles and Omos won the tag team titles at WrestleMania 37 but were nowhere to be seen ever since. It is speculated that it might have something to do with isolation or other COVID-19 related issues. However, the kayfabe story is that AJ & Omos were celebrating their big title win in Nigeria.
Upon their return, they will once again face the same team that they defeated at WrestleMania – New Day. Kofi and Woods will get their title rematch in just 3 weeks. Have they found a way to counter the Giant in Omos? Let’s find out tonight on RAW.
Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax(c) vs Lana & Naomi – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax have shown disagreement between them but they will have to forget those squabbles as they defend their titles once again against Lana and Naomi. The women’s tag team division is thin and this is why we will be seeing this title match for the umpteenth time this year itself. However, if the focus of the storyline is to create more friction between Shayna and Nia, this could easily have been a singles match.
