NJPW presented night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom 17 from Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan, on January 21, 2023. This event was another NJPW vs NOAH event with several inter-promotional matches.
A best-of-5 matches series also took place between NJPW’s Los Ingobernables de Japon and NOAH’s Kongo which featured five singles matches with Tetsuya Naito and Kenoh being the main event of the night. Shingo Takagi vs Katsuhiko Nakajima and Hiromu Takahashi vs Hajime Ohara were the other marquee singles matches.
IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada teamed up with Togi Makabe to face Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura. Hiroshi Tanahashi opened the main card with a tag team match with Toru Yano, Satoshi Kojima, and NOAH’s Takashi Sugiura in his side to face BULLET CLUB’s El Phantasmo, Gedo and KENTA and NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji.
