NJPW vs NOAH Returns with Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Yokohoma Arena

NJPW has announced a night 2 to Wrestle Kingdom 17 event with Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Yokohoma Arena on January 21, 2023.

The announcement came via NJPW Twitter handle and website. It is also announced that Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Tokyo Dome fallout will continue at Yokohoma Arena in Yokohoma, Japan. on January 21.

The event will be held in conjunction with Pro-Wrestling NOAH and will feature inter-promotional matches. This is similar to last year’s event when NJPW vs NOAH matches took place on night 3 of Wrestle Kingdom 16.

Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Tokyo Dome will take place at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on January 4, 2023. Initially, NJPW announced reverting back to just a one-night event for Wrestle Kingdom 17. In the last three years, NJPW has presented two continuous night events on January 4 and January 5 at Tokyo Dome, along with adding NJPW vs NOAH on night 3 in 2022 on January 8 at Yokohoma Arena.

Wrestle Kingdom Night 1 will feature IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White vs Kazuchika Okada in the main event. It will also feature the return of Kenny Omega to NJPW to challenge Will Ospreay.

NJPW also announced the date of The New Beginning in Osaka, which will take place on February 11, 2023 at Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan. Follow the complete NJPW schedule here.
