WWE has added another match to SummerSlam 2022 card.
WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley will defend the title against Money in the Bank holder Theory at WWE’s biggest summer event.
Bobby Lashley defeated Theory at Money in the Bank event last Saturday to win the US title from him. Later that evening, Theory went on to win the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match to win the World Title contract to cash-in anytime in the next one year.
The new US champ opened the Independence Day edition of RAW to celebrate his win. Theory was quick to cut him off and started blowing his own horns, citing that he is the youngest MITB holder in WWE’s history. Earlier, he became the youngest wrestlers to win the WWE United States title. After some arguments, Theory also went on reveal that he will be getting a rematch for the US title at SummerSlam.
A brawl followed where Theory used his MITB briefcase, but Lashley was able to overturn the advantage and sent Theory packing. A 6-man tag team match also took place later in the night where Lashley and The Street Profits defeated Theory and Alpha Academy.
This is the third match to be added to SummerSlam 2022 event. A last man standing match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and a singles match between Pat McAfee and Happy Corbin is also announced. Logan also said that he is coming for payback against the Miz.
