Video: CM Punk Returns to CFFC 110 Commentary
AEW World Champion CM Punk returned to the commentary desk at CFFC 110 event on July 14, 2022.
This was Punk’s first appearance on Cage Fury FC since returning to pro-wrestling with AEW in August 2021. This is also the first The Best in the World has appeared in public since his surgery last month.
CM Punk is currently sidelined with a leg injury that he suffered on June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite earlier this year. That injury came shortly after he won AEW World Championship at AEW Double or Nothing 2022 PPV by defeating “Hangman” Adam Page. Punk was acknowledged as the AEW World Champion by the commentary partner John Morgan and CFFC even showed AEW’s Instagram Post congratulating Punk for winning the title.
CM Punk originally signed with CFFC for a commentary job in November 2018. CFFC 71 was the first CFFC event where Punk worked as the commentator. Punk also joined FOX Sports’s WWE Backstage show as an Analyst in 2019.
CFFC 110 featured an interim CFFC Flyweight Championship match in the main event where Lloyd McKinney defeated Santo Curatolo via first-round KO to win the title. The main card saw 5 out of 6 bouts ending in knockouts. Check the results from CFFC 110 event here.
