Former WWE Champion Big E is set to return at the weekend festivities of WWE’s summer premium live event SummerSlam 2022.
The biggest party of the summer will be held at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville on July 30. ESPN reported that Big E will be present in Nashville between July 27-29 at WWE tryouts for the graduate and current college athletes.
Big E will join Triple H (Paul Levesque) and James Kimball to evaluate the talents who will be participating in the tryouts in order to become potential WWE superstars.
More than 50 athletes are set to be a part of the WWE tryout during the SummerSlam weekend. A similar camp has been organized during WrestleMania weekend where the promotion signed 20 athletes to a developmental contract.
It will be Big E’s first public appearance since suffering a neck injury on the March 11 episode of WWE SmackDown. He received a belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland outside the ring and landed awkwardly on his neck which caused the injury.
Fortunately, Big E does not require surgery, but he is still rehabilitating. Currently, Big E is waiting for a green light from a doctor to make his in-ring return.
